[The Linux Kernel Archives] - This is the primary site for the Linux kernel source, but it has much more than just kernels.
[The Bubbling Load Monitor] is a system CPU and memory load monitor for the GNOME panel.
[Linux HeadQuaters] - The LinuxHQ Web Sites tries to organize and catalog many of the Linux related kernel patches in one central location. Also, this site maintains an active archive of the linux-kernel mailing list, as well as, some other useful Linux information.
[XFree86] - is the underlying software that is between the hardware and graphical user interface (aka gui) that people see and use. If you are using KDE, GNOME, Enlightenment, Blackbox, AfterStep, twm or fvwm then you are already using and running XFree86 as these run as our clients.
[Memtest86] - is a Stand-alone Memory Diagnostic for x86 architecture computers. BIOS based memory tests are only a quick check and often miss many of the failures that are detected by Memtest86. Memtest86 is released under the Gnu Public License (GPL).
[irqtune] - is a Linux IRQ Priority Optimizer. irqtune changes the IRQ priority of devices to allow devices that require high priority and fast service (e.g. serial ports, modems) to have it. With irqtune, a 3X speedup of serial/modem throughput is possible.
[XHDBench] - graphisches LINUX-Tool aehnlich dem Adaptec-Bench fuer Windows, das sich nicht auf die Geraete am Adaptec beschraenkt.
[Powertweak] - is a program to tune your kernel and hardware settings for optimal performance. It has both a graphical GTK GUI as a textmode interface.

[Device Image] - is an easy to use software solution to perform a system disaster recovery or fast backup- restore operations of whole disk device or its partition without a deep knowledge of software functionality.
[Linux-NTFS Project] - The goals are: create a new Linux kernel driver for NTFS, user space utilities (e.g. format, ntfs check, etc.) and a library to avoid code duplication and provide access to NTFS to other GPLed programs.
[The ntfsresize FAQ] - The ntfsresize program non- destructively resizes the primary, NTFS filesystem. It is part of the open source Linux-NTFS project and included in the ntfsprogs package.

It also leaves a copy of the installed package in the source directory so you can install it wherever you want, without having to recompile.
